Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to create web applications using Ajax. They will also be able to integrate the Dojo toolkit web components into their web pages.
Course Content
Module 1 - Course Outline The instructors will highlight, demonstrate, and discuss concepts and source code related to the development of modern dynamic web pages. The demos for this course feature the NetBeans integrated development environment.Content:
- Introduce Ajax and Ajax-enabled web application architectures
- Describe and demonstrate the anatomy of an Ajax interaction
- List the pros/cons of using an Ajax-based client
- Describe the tools and technology demonstrate the technologies and tools used to create Ajax web applications
- Provide an overview of sample labs that are to be presented by the instructor
- Discuss and demonstrate the use of pre-built Ajax-enabled components
- Demonstrate sample web applications that have been created using NetBeans 6.1
- Demonstrate sample web applications that have been created using NetBeans software, and the Woodstock Widget library.
