Solaris 10 Logical Domains Administration (VC-SA-345-S10)

Sun Microsystems Logical Domains, or LDoms, technology is part of a suite of methodologies for consolidation and resource management that includes Sun Fire Dynamic System Domains and Solaris OS Containers. This technology allows you to allocate a systems various resources, such as memory, CPUs, and devices, into logical groupings and create multiple, discrete systems, each with their own operating system, resources, and identity within a single computer system. The emphasis of this course is on providing practical LDom planning, configuration, and administration experience, while also covering the underlying technologies and best practices. This course features the Solaris 10 OS and LDoms management software. The students perform the course lab exercises using LDoms supported servers. This course is delivered in a remote learning environment. Students will attend the course via phone and will need a high-speed internet connection to successfully complete the course.
