  • Explain the differences between the SL8500 operation to previous StorageTek libraries
  • Define the key safety features of the SL8500
  • Explain tape drive options for the SL8500 tape library
  • Solve basic operational problems including:
    • Robot re-initialization
    • Tape drive resetting
    • Failed redundant component identification
  • Demonstrate the proper procedure for entering the library
  • Explain the StorageTek barcode labeling system
  • Operate Streamline Library Console (SLC) for diagnostic and operational reporting
