The Replication Fundamentals course is intended to providea detailed review of replication fundamentals and key tasksnecessary to implement Hitachi ShadowImage, HiCopy, andTrueCopy into todays transport infrastructure. The courseis recommended as a resource tool for building your disasterrecovery solution. You will learn the features and benefits ofShadowImage, HiCopy, and TrueCopy, their commands, performance,and configuration parameters. In addition, you will examine thevarious vendor products and technologies used in conjunctionwith the Hitachi software to deliver high availability, highperformance data replication and disaster recovery. The courseincludes two major case studies that present both the challengesof data replication and best practices to achieve:

  • Zero downtime
  • Storage consolidation
  • Better server usage
  • Implementation of a redundant infrastructure
  • Shorter backup time
  • Lower TCO
