Installing and Configuring Storage Area Networks (SAN's) (PK-ES-490)

ID kurzu : PK-ES-490 Trvanie kurzu : 5 dni

The Installing and Configuring Storage Area Networks course provides students with hands-on experience in implementing storage area networks (SANs) with the Sun StorEdge Open SAN Architecture. Students install Sun supported Fibre Channel switches, including Sun StorEdge Network FC switches, Brocade SilkWorm switches, and McData Sphereon switches. Students then configure various fabric topologies culminating in a large fabric, core/edge configuration. Students also employ techniques such as zoning to consolidate large amounts of data in a secure and highly available environment. The Fundamentals of Storage Area Networks bundle provides students with the foundational knowledge necessary to perform essential job responsibilities in a Storage Area Network (SAN) environment. Students learn the architecture and components of a SAN and the technological underpinnings that make SANs work. Students apply these concepts in a series of on-line design activities that employ techniques, such as zoning, to practice the consolidation of large amounts of data in a secure and highly available environment.
